Work Group of Affirmative Action in the Post-Graduation at São Paulo State University

Our group promotes discussions, and events and delivers talks about the importance of diversity in the University and how to guarantee access for groups that have been historically excluded from society. The goal of this group is to establish quotas in our University for black people, women (especially mothers), indigenous, people from traditional communities, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ people, immigrants, and others. For this, we have sampled the actual representativeness of each group inside the University and studied the federal and state law and university regulations. Furthermore, we interacted with researchers who work in Affirmative Action and Collectives from each of those groups. We have also been promoting our proposal through seminars for the general public, faculties, and students.
